The Bursars Forum was started in November 1997 with just 8 members. Currently, membership stands at over 900 Business Managers and Bursars around Australia, as well as some international members.

The Bursars Forum consists of:
  • this web site, which contains a large number of password protected resources for the use of members; and
  • a moderated email mailing list to handle all sorts of questions arising from the operation of schools - there are generally 5-6 topics under discussion at any one time.
We are offering preferential links to suppliers to the education sector through banner ads linked directly to their sites. Sponsors are also able to email members through our moderated email mailing list 6 or 12 times a year depending on the sponsorship level. Because the members of The Bursars Forum value this resource and it is filtered to remove junk email, they read all the emails! We have found that sponsors get a great response to their banner ads and emails.

We will list a sponsor's banner ad for twelve months, randomly rotating the ad on each page of the site so that every sponsor has even exposure to our members. The ads appear randomly on each page

Major companies (such as Westpac, AON Insurance) and small businesses alike are sponsors of The Bursars Forum, enjoying contact with decision makers from the following broad range of Schools represented by our membership:

As mentioned above, in addition to a banner ad we will also send around the mailing list an email from sponsors (6 or 12 times a year) to advise members of specials, tips etc. This means that Sponsors can have direct email access to members (via monitored delivery through us). This complements the banner ad because we know that members read closely all emails from The Bursars Forum. This is largely due to the fact that the mailing list is monitored, which means that Spam and jokes/other general emails never make it out to members.
